Privacy Notice

Last updated: 1 July 2026

1. Who we are

Blackties Technologies Ltd (trading as “Blackties”), WestLink House, 981 Great West Road, Brentford, TW8 9DN, is the “data controller” responsible for your personal data. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under registration number ZB759630. You can contact us about privacy at [email protected].

2. What this notice covers

This notice explains what personal data we collect through the Blackties dashboard, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. It applies to everyone whose data we hold — our staff, our drivers, our garage partners, and our customers.

3. The personal data we hold

Depending on your relationship with us, we may hold:

Some PCN records may relate to alleged motoring offences. Where a record concerns a criminal offence, we treat it as “criminal offence data” and apply extra safeguards, including a shorter retention period.

4. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We only use your data where the law allows. Our lawful bases are:

We do not rely on consent for this processing, and we do not use your data for advertising.

5. Cookies

The dashboard uses only strictly-necessary cookies — a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a short-lived cookie used for two-factor authentication. These are essential to sign you in securely, so no consent is required for them. We do not use any tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not share your data with advertisers.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf under a written contract, and with others where the law requires:

7. Sending data outside the UK

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure the transfer is protected by an approved safeguard, such as UK ‘adequacy’ / Data Bridge cover or an International Data Transfer Agreement.

8. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it, then delete or anonymise it. Our standard retention periods are:

We may keep information for longer where the law requires it, or where we need it to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

9. Your rights

You have the right to ask us to: give you a copy of your data (access); correct inaccurate data; erase data; restrict or object to our use of it; and, where relevant, port it to another provider. To exercise any of these, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within one month.

10. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and we will make the current version available here.
